Born and raised in Miami, FL to a Haitian father and a Bahamian mother K40 found his love for music at a very young age. K40 started his musical career at the tender age of 5. The first instrument that he played was the piano. He fell in love with the guitar when his instructor introduced him to other instruments.

At age 6, K40 started having issues in school. No one understood why he was not listening to instructions and was doing his own thing. At 7 his mom and dad made the decision to move him from Dade County to Broward County school system. It was then that his teacher told his parents to get K40 a hearing test. That is when it was discovered that K40 had 40% hearing loss in both ears. He was not able to hear well and was relying on reading lips. During this time, his love for music grew stronger. K40 was able to feel music.

K40 is consistently coming up with new projects that he can bless the world with diverse and refreshing sounds.
