I am a Associate Counsellor at Fresh Start Recovery and a person in long-term recovery. I have been connected to Fresh Start for several years and experienced some different roles as an employee. This past year I finished and attained a diploma in Addiction Studies from Bow Valley College and am a member of the Canadian Addictions Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF). I have a passion for helping others and want to help create awareness for those who suffer from substance misuse barriers and hope to help reframe the the social experience on how communities view addiction . I want help encourage others to find the value from their own difficult situations so they can help others who have yet to get there. I’m an outdoor enthusiast and enjoy being with my family, I value and believe in the direction of the Fresh Start movement and can’t wait to see where else we will go.
